Dear Dave, I don’t just love it.. I f@*king love it. The movie feels fuller, the experience heighten and mostly your score has made this film better.

Selected Cues from the short film Eveleigh

The score to Eveleigh took me in a new and interesting musical direction.  Director Ryan Todd wanted the bulk of the score to be ambient, using primarily synth and heavily processed sounds instead of acoustic instruments.  While the score features my 1930 Steinway piano, it is heavily processed and doused in reverb.  The other sounds are mostly electronic.  It was a fun challenge to create this electronic, ambient palette and then use it to dramatically support the film.

After hearing the final score, the film's writer and star Anastasia McPherson sent me an email that began, "Dear Dave, I don't just love it.. I f@*king love it. The movie feels fuller, the experience heighten and mostly your score has made this film better."
